Creating an Electronic Insurance Account (e-IA) allows you to manage and protect your insurance documents, while having them available in an electronic format at all times. The process is simple and free, allowing you to safekeep documents for all availed insurances, such as vehicle insurance, health insurance, Life insurance and so on, in one single platform without any hassle.
As stated by the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), the four entities authorized with the 'Certificate of Registration' to act as "Insurance Repositories" are:
- Central Insurance Repository
- CAMS Repository Services
- Karvy Insurance Repository
- NSDL Database Management
One can simply choose their preferred insurance repository and benefit from creating an Electronic Insurance Account.

- Once an e-IA is opened, the purchase of new policies would not require additional KYC verification.
- You can update personal information, such as ‘Contact details’ across all your insurers at a single platform.
- All insurance policies availed can be stored and accessed in the electronic insurance account.
How to open an e-IA Account?
Download an e-Insurance account opening form from one of the four authorized Insurance repositories:
- Central Insurance Repository
- CAMS Repository Services
- Karvy Insurance Repository
- NSDL Database Management
Fill the e-Insurance account opening form and enclose KYC document as listed below:
- Proof of identity such as pan card, driving license etc.
- Proof of Address such as, driving license, passport, voter ID, electricity bill etc.
- Proof of Date of Birth such as pan card, birth certificate etc.
- Cancelled cheque
Self-attested documents and the form to be submitted to the nearest Raheja QBE branch.
Locate your nearest branch. We request you to carry originals of KYC documents.
The e-Insurance account will be created within 7 working days from the date of submission of the application form.
You will receive a welcome kit along with a login ID and password on your email and you can start linking your existing policies by following the due process.
